Organisation is key

Storing information and website assets
Having a central place to store everything that is on your website can be very useful, especially if you need to share it with others. Make sure it is secure, and more than one person has full control of the storage space. Using a secure cloud-based solution can be very effective in maintaining version control, especially if multiple people need access to review or edit. Questions to ask yourself are:
Where will you store this information?
Who needs to access them?
Is any information confidential?
Here are a couple of ideas:
Being organised
Ensuring you have all that you need (the written content on individual documents, images, videos, and PDFs etc) stored securely is one thing. It is also vital to ensure you have it organised in a pragmatic and accessible way. For example, keep all of your images in one folder - and keep a list of all the images, with details:
who/what is in it,
when it was taken (if appropriate)
who took it or where it was sourced from
any licences or consent forms attached to it
where it is used on the website
A full content inventory (a complete listing of all your site content, including pages) can also be very useful - keep it simple, such as a simple list or a spreadsheet.
