Diocesan Service of Prayer

Nearly 100 people gathered together online in prayer to mark the 20th anniversary of the international day against LGBTQIA+ discrimination. The service was led by both of our Bishops – Bishop Robert and Bishop Andrew, and the liturgy included voices from across our diocese.
This day is marked in more than 130 countries, including many across our diocese. The 20th anniversary of the inauguration of the Day offers an occasion for hope, as well as for lament at the continuing violation of human rights across the world.
For those who could not make the service last night, the recording is here:
Reflections from attendees included these;
“..this was so wonderfully done; I appreciated the high level from a theological point of view”
"...the message of the strength we share together in our love for God and for each other was incredibly moving..."
"...it was beautiful and affirming..."
Please reach out to our Diocesan LGBTQI+ Liaison Officer, Revd Louis Darrant, who is available for a conversation and to suggest resources or other organisations if that is of help to you.
