Easter across our diocese

This Easter saw celebrations across our diocese. Bishop Andrew celebrated his first Easter as our Suffragan Bishop in France at St Mark's Versailles and then joined an ecumenical service at the stunning Notre Dame in Paris. This service was hosted by our Roman Catholic sisters and brothers to commemorate the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicea.
At Notre Dame, Bishop Andrew led a prayer, in French, for the persecuted church. Fr Mark Osbourne, chaplain of St George's Paris joined others in bringing Easter greetings.

Archdeacon Peter Hooper joined others in a moving Easter communion service at dawn on a beach near Calais. This has been the site of many small boat launchings, which amongst the tragedy of lives lost, also reminds us of hope that those travelling here hold.
Bishop Robert celebrated Easter at our pro-cathedral of Holy Trinity, Gibraltar. He shared full details in his blog.
