Regular giving to the Church (also called 'Stewardship') is an important aspect of committing ourselves to Christ and to the resourcing of the Church’s mission and ministry. As leaders, we must be confident in sharing this message with our congregations.
When discussing regular giving it is important to understand the needs and position of your audience. This means that, in each church’s context, the giving conversations may be slightly different; but underlying it all is the commitment of our whole lives to Christ and the dedication of our whole selves to His mission.
It is good practice to hold a form of giving review every year, but it’s recommended that every 2-3 years churches hold an extended Stewardship Programme, particularly if your chaplaincy has:
A desire to carry out plans for mission growth which require additional funding
A need to reverse current or prospective deficits, in order to continue your mission
