The Pro-Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Brussels - Senior Chaplain and Chancellor
The Pro-Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Brussels Senior Chaplain and Chancellor
This large multi-cultural, multi-lingual church in the centre of Brussels is looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Priest able to lead and inspire a gifted clergy team and dedicated competent lay leaders. Deep spirituality and learning, enthusiasm to lead a community drawn from different backgrounds, traditions and views, and a welcoming attitude to children and young people are essential.
The ability to speak French or a proven ability to learn it, is essential. The role requires managing a range of internal and external stakeholders including ecumenical connections and relations with the Belgian authorities. The Senior Chaplain should be outward looking with a strong commitment to reach out to those beyond the church's doors.
The annual stipend is paid by the Belgian state, augmented by a gift from the congregation to cover accommodation and other expenses.
We welcome applications from any nationality, and especially people underrepresented in leadership positions in the diocese, including women and those with a Global Majority Heritage.
EU passport holders do not require a visa. We will assist non-EU passport holders to obtain the necessary 'Single Permit' to live and work in Belgium.
There is a commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
Safeguarding policies (vetting and screening) will apply.
