Message from Bishop Robert this Creationtide

'During Creationtide, we celebrate with gratitude God’s good work of creation. At the same time, we acknowledge our human responsibility to care for creation. I believe this annual celebration becomes ever more important. Environmental damage and climate change pose one of the biggest threats to our human future. And this year, our own European continent has suffered its worst-ever seasonal fires. As Christians, we place these deeply serious challenges within the context of a God who loves the creation he has made. Therefore, we do not lose hope. I encourage every chaplaincy to engage with these vital themes and issues in the coming weeks.'

We also encourage you to share and use this prayer from the Collect for Creationtide:
Glorious God, the whole of creation proclaims your marvellous work: increase in us a capacity to wonder and delight in it, that heaven’s praise may echo in our hearts and our lives be spent as good stewards of the earth, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
