Do you have a story to share?

We love hearing about the life of our chaplaincies and communities across the Diocese in Europe. Although our chaplaincies are diverse, we are all part of one vibrant and connected Anglican community.
Your stories inspire others, strengthen connections, and showcase the amazing work happening locally.
What makes a story?
- something your chaplaincy is doing that is impacting your local community
- a special event
- a community initiative
- a personal story of faith
- involvement in one of our social action areas
- an innovative outreach project
Sharing your experiences helps celebrate the diversity of our communities while highlighting the ways we are united as a Diocese.
How do you let us know about my story idea?
The first thing to remember is timing. If you are letting us know about an event, for example, let us know in plenty of time.
Submitting a story is simple - just send us:
A few lines about your story. It doesn't need to be a finished article, but send us as much information as you can. If you are writing an article, aim for 300-500 words.
We love photos! There is some guidance on that in our Communications Toolkit and just sending 2 or 3 is plenty. Remember to state who is in the photo, where it was taken and when.
If you have a video, that's brilliant too - you can send us that via WeTransfer or email if it is small enough. Short videos work best - 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Tips on taking videos are also in our Communications Toolkit.
Which stories we publish
You can get a feel for that on our website News page as well as social media channels. Sometimes it depends on timing and what else is going on in the Diocese or more widely in terms of celebrations such as Christmas or Creationtide. We do often ask for stories on our social media channels about a certain topic, so look out for those. While we may not be able to publish every story, we are always happy to talk through your ideas, offer guidance, and explore how best to highlight your chaplaincy.
By sharing your stories, you help build a stronger, more connected network of chaplaincies, celebrate the good work happening locally, and inspire others across the Diocese in Europe. Your stories also help show the wider Church of England just how vibrant and alive our communities are. Don’t let your community’s story go untold, send it to us today, and let’s celebrate the life of the Diocese in Europe together!
