This morning Bishop Robert joined other religious leaders in Belgium at Brussels National Airport in Zaventem to welcome Syrian families arriving within the context of the Belgian ‘Humanitarian Corridor’.
It is of the nature of this ‘Easter Message’ that it is written, published and mostly read in Lent, well before Easter. So I invite us to think about the joy of the resurrection in the context of the events leading up to the crucifixion of our Lord.
We'd appreciate prayer for our community at St Andrew's and for the British Embassy here, following the expulsions, both for those sent home and for those who are staying behind. There has been a great deal of sadness and deep sense of loss.
