Retirement of Archdeacon David Waller
We share a letter from Archdeacon David Waller below. Please hold him in your prayers.
Dear Friends,
I write to share with you the news that I shall be retiring from my post as Archdeacon of Italy and Malta and of Gibraltar, at the end of March 2027.
This decision has been the result of reflection and prayer over a lengthy period and I hope to move to return to south Devon where I will be nearer family and UK based friends, or at least a train ride away rather than a flight!
I have very much enjoyed the two posts that I have held within the Diocese in Europe - my current Archdeacon’s role and as Chaplain for Mallorca prior to this, not least because of the good, professional and compassionate people I have had the privilege of working with.
I look forward to the next six months or so in post as I prepare for this change. Please pray for these two wonderful and diverse archdeaconries and for me in this transition.
David Waller
