William Gulliford (Diocesan Director of Ordinands) reflects that;
“The Diocese in Europe forms people for ministry in unique ways. Our chaplaincies are a network of remarkable communities serving God in such a range of places. Those being ordained have undergone two years of discernment and about three years of intense study of Theology and Pastoral Care. The learning continues in training after ordination as well. Those coming forward to be ordained to the diaconate are impressive people, supported by families who have all made sacrifices to see this come about. Those preparing for the priesthood, likewise, have shown they have the commitment, insight, humility and preparedness to learn which will inform a lifetime of ministry.
We hope and trust that the Spirit will bestow all gifts and fruits on those to be ordained in this Diocese and the wider Church. Come Holy Ghost our souls inspire and lighten with celestial fire!”
Please join us in prayers of thanksgiving for all those being ordained. We also ask that each of them and their families are surrounded by the Love of God as they embark on this journey of ministry.
