"This was my first diocesan synod and I leave with a real sense of hope.
In a world that often feels divided, it has been inspiring to see people from across Europe come together in prayer, fellowship and honest conversation. The theme ‘called to be peacemakers’ has resonated deeply throughout the synod.
I leave encouraged, challenged and reminded that the church has a vital role to play in building bridges, fostering reconciliation and sharing the hope of the Gospel." - Ludovic Claude, Geneva (pictured above)
Members of our Diocesan Synod gathered last week to discuss and make decisions on areas of governance and action for our diocese. Members shared in prayer, worship and fellowship, creating an atmosphere of support and openness grounded in our faith and liturgy.
Areas discussed included the diocesan strategy, caring for creation, safeguarding, governance models and the AGM of the Diocesan Board of Finance.
The theme was 'called to be peacemakers' which was echoed in the Bible study, workshops and discussions.
