God of blessing

You desire good for all people. 

We give you thanks for your many gifts to us.

We thank you for the plentiful and nourishing food and drink we are privileged to enjoy. For its rich variety of colours and flavours, a sign of your bounty.

God of blessing, we give you thanks.

We thank you for the solid and spacious homes in which we live. 

For the shelter and warmth they offer, a sign of your protection. 

God of blessing, we give you thanks.

We thank you for the clean water flowing freely in our taps,

For its purity and cleanliness, a sign that you give life

God of blessing, we give you thanks.

We thank you for our schools and colleges, universities and other places of learning,

For the opportunities they offer us, a sign of your wisdom

God of blessing, we give you thanks.

We thank you for the provision of healthcare, and for the skills of medical staff,

For its wide spread provision and availability, a sign that you are our healer.

God of blessing, we give you thanks.

We that you for the care and tenderness offered by our families and friends,

For the giving and receiving of love, a sign that we are your children.

God of blessing, we give you thanks.

We thank you that today and every day we can give you this worship and thanks,

Responding to your grace to us, a sign that you are our God

God of blessing, we give you thanks.

God of blessing 

you desire good for all people,

We pray for those who seem to have so much less than us. 

We pray for all whose diet is meagre and monotonous,

We commit ourselves to working to share your bounty with them. 

Help us plant seeds of hope, to raise up fruits of love for your glory.

We pray for all who are forced to live with inadequate shelter,

We commit ourselves to build up structures for their protection. 

Help us plant seeds of hope, to raise up fruits of love for your glory.

We pray for all who do not enjoy our ready supply of clean water

We commit ourselves to ease the heavy burden on women, and children and men. 

Help us plant seeds of hope, to raise up fruits of love for your glory.

We pray for all who struggle to obtain opportunity for study,

We commit ourselves to establishing education as a right and priority for all.

Help us plant seeds of hope, to raise up fruits of love for your glory.

We pray for those who suffer, through poverty, from preventable diseases,

We commit ourselves to walking in the path of the one who offered healing to all. 

Help us plant seeds of hope, to raise up fruits of love for your glory.

We pray for those who have no family, or whose families cannot care for them,

We commit ourselves to finding ways to share with them God’s fatherly tenderness,

Help us plant seeds of hope, to raise up fruits of love for your glory.

We pray for those who are unable to worship God, through ignorance, or pressure or fear 

We commit ourselves to sharing with them the knowledge of God’s generosity, in our deeds as well as our words. 

Help us plant seeds of hope, to raise up fruits of love for your glory.
