Together, we join the global wave of prayer
"For 10 years now, Christians from around the world have joined together through Thy Kingdom Come, praying that more people may come to know the love of God." Archbishop Sarah Mullaly (Thy Kingdom Come Facebook, April 2026)
Each year many of our chaplaincies participate in this brilliant initiative which unites us all in our faith and love for all in our communities. The 2026 Thy Kingdom Come runs from 14th to 24th May with a theme of 'God with us'. If you already have plans in your chaplaincy, we would love to hear from you about those. There is still time to participate of course, here are 5 ideas to consider:
Prayer Walk or Pilgrimage
Many of our chaplaincies organise these throughout the year for a variety of reasons - many have just completed prayer walks as part of their Easter journey's. Thy Kingdom Come is an excellent oppportunity for that. Would that work where you are?

Check out the Thy Kingdom Come website directly for some great resources: Resources. Of particular interest is the Novenna, a beautiful resource written by Archbishop Sarah Mullaly specifically for the 2026 initiative. designed to carry your congregation through the nine days between Ascension and Pentecost. Each day offers Scripture, personal reflections and prayers to help your community draw closer to God and live out His love with intention. It is free to download here: Novenna and also of interest may be that it is also available in Spanish, Korean, Russian and Portugese.

Download the App
Filled with inspirational films, prayers, Bible readings, meaningful reflections, and a space to 'Pray for Five', the app is a one-stop shop for everything you need to journey through the 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come.
List your event
If you are holding an event, register it on the Thy Kingdom Come website here to be included with other churches and chaplaincies across the globe. It may also reach more people of course.
This intiative provides an amazing opportunity to join together as a whole diocese and with Christians across the globe, especially important in our troubled times. We unite in our faith and in prayer.
Please let us know if you have anything planned, and how the time goes for you. We would love to share them: communications@europe.anglican.org
