The Swiss Archdeaconry 2024 Choir Festival recently took place between 3rd – 5th May 2024 at Holy Trinity Church, Geneva and is being hailed as a great success.
Director of Music, Mark Charles said, “We were delighted to welcome representatives of 7 churches across Switzerland, and this year we also had representatives from the Episcopal church and a Roman Catholic church in Geneva joining us, as well as a member of Holy Trinity’s Community Choir. In total, 42 people took part. It was also a great pleasure to welcome David Blunden from the Basel chaplaincy to play the organ”.

The choirs took part in both Choral Evensong and Choral Eucharist services. The chosen music included 'For lo! I raise up by Stanford, 'St Paul’s Service' by Howells and 'Missa Festival’ by Flor Peeters.
The Chaplain, Daphne Green, said, “It was a great pleasure to host this Festival which has been running almost continuously in Switzerland since its inception in 1982, with a short break because of Covid. Apart from the services, the choir dinner on the Saturday night, gave us a great opportunity to meet old friends from across Switzerland, and to make new ones”.
