David Waller, Archdeacon, writes:

"It with sadness that I report the death of Fr Hugh Broad, who served within the Archdeaconry of Gibraltar from 2003 when he became the chaplain at Costa Calida and Almeria serving God in that place until his retirement in 2013. Fr Hugh was a much-loved leader of the chaplaincy and during his time within the Archdeaconry also took on the role of Area Dean from 2011, working alongside the Archdeacon Ven David Sutch.

Fr Hugh is well remembered within the Archdeaconry and the wider Diocese in Europe as a chaplain and in his work supporting those exploring a vocation.

Please hold his wife Jackie and his daughters Hannah and Lucy and his wider family in your prayers.
