General Synod By-Election for the Diocese in Europe

Following the sad death of Clive Billenness in February, an election is now being held to fill the vacant place for a representative from the Diocese in Europe in the house of laity at the Church of England General Synod.
General Synod Elections are conducted (for the whole Church of England) online by Civica Election Services (CES). Full details, including all documents, details of the General Synod responsibilities and the online forms to be completed are here
The electorate, who nominate and second candidates and vote in the poll, are referred to as ‘qualified electors’. They are the elected members of the Archdeaconry or Deanery Synods and have received an email direct from Civica with links and details about the election. All qualified electors can stand for election using the links (and personal codes for the website that are in the email). They can also add the details online of their proposer and seconder.
Anyone who is not a qualified elector, and is eligible to stand, and wishes to do so should email election@europe.anglican.org to obtain the relevant codes for the a nomination form on the online election portal. The details about who can stand are here
The full timetable for the election can be found here
Please check the dates but some key milestones are:
