The Friends of the Diocese joined in with the wonderful fellowship at the Evensong at Southwark Cathedral last night, during which Bishop Robert and Guy Milton, Chair of the Friends of the Diocese, read Lessons.  Following the service, the Friends had time to connect with each other, Bishop Robert, Bishop Andrew and staff from the London office.  Bishop Robert also introduced the new Diocesan Awards for Lay People, which were launched yesterday.

"The annual service and reunion of the Friends of the Diocese on 22 September was a wonderful opportunity for us to join Evensong at Southwark Cathedral and to celebrate together the life of the Diocese and the work of the Friends. At the reception afterwards we were able to catch up with other members of the Friends as well as hear from our two Bishops and staff from the Diocesan Office whom I would like to thank for giving up their valuable time to be with us."
