HOUSE FOR DUTY CHAPLAIN - IBIZA & FORMENTERA, SPAIN
Introduction
We have a long tradition of being known as The English-Speaking Church on Ibiza and Formentera. We are a welcoming, diverse and open Christian community, and whilst English speaking, we have members from many different cultures and nations. Ibiza is a lovely island and we will provide a rented house for you and your family, together with an expenses paid car.
Where we are
Ibiza and Formentera are two of the smaller of the Balearic Islands and have been home to many different cultures since the Phoenician settlement. Today, Ibiza has evolved, through international tourism, into a hub where many different cultural and lifestyle trends meet and grow. The population is around 164,000 multi-national residents, living in three main centres - Eivissa (Ibiza - the capital), Santa Eulalia and Sant Antoni (3kms from the chaplaincy house). Between May and October, the islands have around 3.7 million tourists each year, who come mainly to enjoy the beaches and the nightlife. The climate is typically Mediterranean with particularly attractive long springs and autumns. The island has excellent travel connections to the mainland and to the UK with daily direct flights to London throughout the year and many more in summer.
