Gibraltar and Peru Linked

Anglican churchgoers in Madrid will get the chance to see a visual link between the Gibraltar Archdeaconry (of the Diocese in Europe) and its partner Diocese of Peru. Bishop Bill Godfrey travelled from Peru to lead Bible Studies at last week’s Archdeaconry Synod in El Escorial and presented a hand made mini-altar cloth from Peruvian Christians to the Bishop in Europe David Hamid.

In return, Archdeacon David Sutch gave Bishop Bill a handmade stole to symbolize their growing links. A visiting team from Spain and Portugal is planning to go to Peru later this year to meet church members and share in their ministry before they report back to fellow Synod delegates next year.
